Lightweight, intrinsically safe and featuring an internal pump capable of pulling samples from up to 50 ft. away, the RKI GX-2012 is ideal for a range of confined space entry scenarios.

Measuring the concentrations of the standard four-gases prevalent in confined spaces (Oxygen, Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Sulfide and the Lower Explosive Levels (LEL) of a wide range of combustible gases) the GX-2012 constantly monitors and displays these gas levels and alerts to you dangerous levels of exposure via three different alarm modes - visible, acoustic and vibration.

CSA classified, as intrinsically safe. Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, D: TIIS, IECEx, ATEX, CE

The ability to check methane levels by volume gives you an extra layer of protection. The GX-2012 device can also be used for gas line purge testing to find gas leaks on petrochemical sites.

A versatile and feature-heavy detector, the GX-2012 is impressive as it weighs in at only 12.3 ounces.

Intrinsically safe the detector is ideal for working in dangerous and explosive environments as found on a wide variety of industrial sites.

For active sampling purposes simply attach the included 10” probe; this should be placed in the confined space prior to entry and allowed sufficient time to assess the atmosphere inside.

While working a confined space the sniffer will constantly monitor and log gas levels, alerting you if dangerous concentrations are present or you exceed safe exposure limits while working.

Designed to work equally well for confined space access operations such as manhole entry, tank cleaning and petrochemical work (oil rig, refinery and gasworks operations); it’s great for waste water management professionals and environmental workers too.
