By way of comparison, we offer a number of arborist and rescue harnesses, and usually they are made by simply attaching shoulder straps to a mountaineering harness. This fails to recognize the importance of fall arrest. With our long history in safety equipment, this was one of the first things we noticed. The engineers at DBI-SALA must have been thinking the same thing, because they have designed this harness with the idea that fall protection is an integral part of the job for many customers. This hybrid style, and its multiple tie-off variations, allows you to be safely suspended at heights.

This hybrid design also features an ergonomic hip pad and body belt with side D-rings to provide additional comfort and spine support during work positioning activities. Most other rescue harnesses on the market don’t use a sub-pelvic strap in their design. DBI-SALA, with their background in fall protection, has included a sub-pelvic strap to channel the energy of a fall throughout the body, greatly reducing the chance of injury.

Like most ExoFit XP harnesses, standard features include one-handed quick-connect buckles on the leg straps and a spring loaded “stand-up” back D-ring. Comfort is enhanced with removable shoulder, leg and back padding which incorporate soft edges to help prevent friction and chaffing Also built-in are accessory/tool rings attached to the hip pad/belt for better support and comfort when carrying extra equipment and gear.
