Confined Space Entry Contractor's Kit

OSHA strictly regulates confined space entry for good reason. There are multiple dangers to workers upon their entry into places outlined as not meant for human habitation and where unseen dangers like pooled toxic gas or combustible gases may wait.
The Contractor’s Confined Space Entry Kit is designed to offer up-to-date equipment for safely entering these spaces: a gas monitor with a sample pump monitors the air for the 4-gases outlined by OSHA, an 8-foot tripod for lowering and retrieval of personnel and equipment into hard-to-reach spaces, a retrieval winch man-rated to get workers out if there is trouble, an industrial blower to disperse toxic fumes and vapors, and a harness to attach the winch cable to the worker.
QRAE II Confined Space Gas Monitor
The QRAE II is one of our most popular gas detection units and comes from the gas monitor experts at RAE Systems. Specifically manufactured with confined space in mind, the QRAE II combines sophisticated technology with a really simple user interface and instruction. This version of the QRAE II has an internal pump and is capable of pulling air from the space before workers enter. The QRAE II tests the air samples for the four gases required by the OSHA standards for confined space entry.

AK105A 8 ft. Confined Space Tripod
This 8 foot tripod from Protecta meets all of the OSHA 1910 and ANSI Z359.1-1998 standard requirements for a confined space entry tripod. With a total weight of less than 40 pounds, it is easy to transport and set up. The adjustable legs lock into position, providing flexibility and security. While the reflective tape on the anodized aluminum legs helps others see the unit when displayed, the skid-resistant tread on the soles of the tripod hamper unintended movement and sliding.
The AK105A, for all its light-weight portability, as a single anchorage point is rated at 5,000 lbs. Flexibility and portability combined with great strength come in this one great package.
AK205AG Confined Space Winch
The AK205AG from Protecta is a man-rated winch that meets or exceeds the UL requirements for load capacity. It attaches easily to the tripod in this kit, and has 50 feet of 3/16” cable (though other lengths are available if needed). Additionally, stainless steel cable is an option if your work is in a particularly corrosive environment. Among its many fine features, the Protecta AK205AG boasts oil-packed bearings, a detachable handle, safety lock and a finish that will resist corrosion.
This Protecta winch is simple to operate, and can haul or lower loads of up to 310 pounds simply by turning the handle. No gears need to be switched if you want to change direction, and the winch operates at 20 fpm using a four-to-one purchase ratio.
8003205 Snatch Block Pulley Assembly
This snatch block pulley assembly is designed to be used with leg mounted winches and is hung from one of the tripod eye bolts to route a primary winch or secondary winch cable. No tools are required for installation. Meets or exceeds OSHA and ANSI requirements.

Allegro Confined Space Ventilation Blower, Canister and 25 ft. of Ducting
This safety orange blower with attached canister houses 25 feet of coiled ducting in an easy-to-transport package. The Allegro 9533-25 is an 8” blower that can move a lot of air in a short period of time. With feather-light UV-resistant polyethylene housing, the Allegro 9533-25 can take the bumps and bangs normal in the construction field and keep moving the air. The tools-free design allows the user to change the venting to either side of the blower to bring the good air to the worksite, or clear off noxious fumes, whichever is needed.
We also offer an up-grated version of the Confined Space Entry System. This kit has higher quality components at a correspondingly higher price.
