The GasAlertClip Extreme H2S Hydrogen Sulfide is a portable single gas detector from BW Technologies by Honeywell. An easy to use, reliable and maintenance free way to monitor and alert you to dangerous levels of H2S gas.
With a water-resistant and concussion proof casing these detectors can and will run for years. The Extreme series are rated to operate for up to three years (dependent upon the model you choose) on a single charge and feature self-calibration technology.
The one-button interface is simple and easy to use: The GasAlert monitors are the ultimate in hassle-free gas detection, and require very little training for the user.
The Gas Alert Clip Extreme does not, however, display current gas levels, and only goes into alarm when dangerous levels have been reached. If you need a monitor that constantly displays gas concentrations, consider the ToxiRAE or Draeger series of single gas monitors.
The Gas Alert Clip Extreme is compatible with the MicroDock II for bump testing plus the IR Data Link Kit and Fleet Manager II software to receive and recorded data to simplify compliance record keeping for the GasAlertClip Extreme monitors.
Both toxic and flammable, Hydrogen Sulfide is a highly dangerous gas, and although it has a distinct aroma (rotten eggs) this is not sufficient to detect the gas because prolonged exposure will actually dull your sense of smell. So it is important to monitor H2S levels should you be working in a confined space for any length of time.
