Capital Safety 8518005 Advanced Base Assembly

The Advanced Base Assembly from Capital Safety is a sturdy structure, and part of the 5-Piece Hoist System allowing a range of different configurations to suit any confined space rescue or retrieval work. More versatile than traditional tripod fall arrest equipment, the hoist system can give you a flexible solution to allow your workers to get the job done quickly and easily.

The base features adjustable and extendable legs that can be altered from 37 up to 64 inches in width, allowing it to sit safely around even large vault hatches.

Aluminum leveling screws allow the base to be adjusted for stability on uneven surfaces (like tanks for example); these screws feature large handles for easy and accurate on site set up.

The whole base (and indeed, the Five Piece Hoist System) is designed for quick and easy 'no-tools' installation; everything can be set up via adjustable detent pins and bolts.

Built from high-strength aluminum, powder coated for corrosion resistance and meeting OSHA and ANSI standards, the adjustable base is a versatile addition to the DBI/Sala 5-Piece Hoist System. This base weighs a relatively light 60lbs, making for ease of transport to and from the work site.

With the 5-Piece System offering a generous starting point, the excellent thing about this system is the versatility it offers: wider bases, longer masts and you are free to attach the winch or SRL that suits your needs best.
